Aim
The Ministry of Justice and the Coroner asked us to create a memorial film for the opening of a large scale coronial enquiry. This film would acknowledge the 51 deceased from the Christchurch Masjidain tragedy in 2019. The completed tribute would feature a combination of written, photo and video tributes.
What we did
Over a period of around two months we worked closely with the Ministry of Justice to thoughtfully assemble a massive variety of text, photo and video from family and friends of the deceased into a moving tribute film. The final film was about 60mins and was played three times in court. Twice at the opening to cater for the large number of family and attendees and once again after in the inquiry for people missed the opening. The film was mentioned in several news reports at the opening of the inquiry.
"This required numerous phone calls and emails and edits. It was never a problem and Hans skilfully pulled all the content together. It was moving, powerful and so beautifully commemorated the lives of those who were lost in this event. Hans was a delight to work with and made this so easy." Roz Fraser - MINISTRY OF JUSTICE
